ベニー・グッドマンやトミー・ドーシー楽団で活躍した名トランペッター、バニー ベリガンの３５年から３７年の間に吹き込んだ自己のコンボでの演奏を中心に収録した代表作。ウィリアム・スタイグが描いた猫のカバーも素敵な人気の1枚。余談ですがウィリアム・スタイグはビル・エヴァンスとも競演したあのフルート奏者ジェレミー・スタイグのお父さんです。
