M- 

Disc:Almost Perfect, Like New.

Cover:The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover.

EX

Disc: allow minor scuffs which are visible but only slightly.The wear should be minimal and of course should play mint-

Cover : Artwork should still be as close to perfect as can be. Some impression to the cover, slight wear.

VG++

Disc:There are some light scratches and a few cracks on the record (which can be felt by touch). Sometimes these slight defects may influence sound, still exellent sound.

Cover: A virtually clean cover, but may have  light lines, folds, scratches, cracks, spots,  small writing on it.

VG+

Disc:There are some light scratches and cracks on the record (which can be felt by touch). Sometimes these slight defects may influence sound, 

Cover: Covers will look worn but not bad, but may have  light lines, folds, scratches, cracks, spots, some seam splitting,  writing on it.

VG

Disc:Record will appear well played but still have some luster. The vinyl may be faded, slightly grayishThere are scratches and cracks on the record (which can be felt by touch).  these  defects may influence sound, 

Cover: Covers will look worn, may have ringware,  lines, folds, scratches, cracks, spots, writing on it.

VG-

Disc:It is worse than the above.

Cover:It is worse than the above.

G

Disc:The easiest way to define this is if does not meet the lowest grade above. It's will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.
